What is a Skylight?

Skylight definition - A window in a roof of a property that admits daylight into a space. A skylight also offers assistance with ventilation, insulation and energy conservation.

Ideal Home Garden Explains

Skylights bring natural light into a space from a different angle then an ordinary window. They are not only beneficial during the day, but also at night. The moonlight can be seen, which can add a nice ambience to the inside of a house at night. Shutters and blinds are sold for skylights when natural light is not desired.
