What is Smart Glass?

Smart glass definition - Electrically switchable glass or glazing used as walls or windows that changes from clear to "solid" looking when voltage is applied. Also called switchable glass or magic glass.

Smart glass becomes opaque when turned on, but is clear when turned off, making it capable of acting as both a window and wall. It can also control the amount of heat that passes through it for each individual room temperature. It can also block light, while still giving one side of the glass a clear view.
