What is Wicker

Wicker Definition - Wicker is a material that when woven becomes hard. It is then used to construct furniture, baskets, and other household items. The material that makes up wicker is made out plastics fibers or plant stems.

Wicker is a durable material that that is intertwined to create, most commonly, home goods. Wicker furniture is commonly used in homes and dates back to ancient Egypt. Wicker chairs are very popular and often found in a backyard space. These chairs are either made completely out of wicker, or have a harder outer frame material, like plastic or aluminum.
