Dry Ice Effect
Once you have made your Halloween punch, presentation can be half the fun. For a cool "misty" effect surrounding your drink, try using dry ice and a witch's cauldron (found at many stores, often inexpensively, around Halloween).
- Wearing very thick gloves, set a block of dry ice in the bottom of the witch's cauldron.
- Be extremely careful not to touch the dry ice, as it can severely burn bare skin.
- Using a hammer, break up the block of ice so it sits lower in the cauldron, and covers the entire bottom.
- Pour water into the cauldron until the dry ice mostly submerged.
- The combination of the ice and water should cause the ice to begin creating mist.
- Set the punch bowl inside the witch's cauldron, on top of the dry ice and water.
- The mist will now be forced out of the witch's cauldron around the edges of the punch bowl, creating a spooky effect for guests to enjoy while serving their drinks.
